أدب الرحلة بين الشيخ محمد بن ناصر العبودي والشيخ محمد تقي العثماني (دراسة تحليلية مقارنة) Topic of Ph.D. Dissertation أدب الرحلة بين الشيخ محمد بن ناصر العبودي والشيخ محمد تقي العثماني (دراسة تحليلية مقارنة) The Travels of Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Muhammad Taqi Othmani: A Comparative Study Travelogue is an important part of literature in any of the world's languages. All the nations have been interested in Travels/ journeys since ancient times. The travelogue has gained special importance in Islamic literature and many scholars have been known to be adventurous travelers in different periods of time. Although the world has become like a small village, thanks to modern media, and information about any place is within everyone's reach; however, travels still have a special place; as they convey to the reader information based on the writer's experience. The diversity of this information, in addition to the traveler's thoughts and impressions of his observations anywhere, offer the reader an opportunity to understand reality as it is. Every traveler looks at the situation anywhere from a different perspective, making each traveler's journey different from the other. This makes travelogues even more attractive in the age of globalization and technology. The history of Islam has seen too many great travelers who have had great effects in the literature of the travelogues and are still being read. Among them are Ibn Battuta, Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Idrisi, Ibn Jubair al-Andalusi, Ahmad ibn Fadlan, Ahmad bin Majid, Hasan al-Wazzan, Muhammad Abu al-Qasim Ibn Hawql, Abu Abdullah Shams al-Din Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Maqdisi, Abu al-Hasan al-Masoudi, Hassan al-Marrakishi and many others. In our time there are rarely traveler scholars such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Sheikh Mohammed Taqi Othmani. It would not be an exaggeration if we say that they have traveled to every nook and corner of the world. And they told us their experiences in such a manner that their travelogues attract the readers to the extent that they become part of the scene. In this sense, I would like to make a comparative study between some travelogues of Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and of Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Othmani to obtain the degree of doctorate in Arabic Literature. Chapter Breakdown: Introduction: It includes definition of travel literature, a brief look at travelogues, an overview of travelogues and travelers in Islam, and a brief picture of travelogues in Urdu language. The first chapter: the biography of Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Othmani and their writings, and it contains two sub-chapters: 1.1: The biography of Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and his writings. 2.1: The biography of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Othmani and his writings. Second chapter: Presentation of the travelogues of Al-Oboudi and Othmani, and it contains two sub-chapters: 2.1: The Travels of Sheikh Al-Oboudi (Style, Ideas, and Topics) 2.2: The Travels of Sheikh Othmani (Style, Ideas, and Topics) Chapter Three: Comparison between travels of Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Othmani, and it has two sub-chapters: 3.1: The similarities between the travels of Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Othmani. 3.2: The differences between the travels of Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasir Al-Oboudi and Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Othmani. - Conclusion - Research results - Index of topics - List of sources and references ********** Abdul Khaliq Ph. The purpose of this research was to study it analytically, the method used for the research was descriptive and qualitative, from this analytical study, it was found that women are the cultural standard of any society, but women are a society in themselves. It is a yardstick by which we can measure the progress and backwardness of any society. In the last decade of the nineteenth century AD, with the beginning of the artistic journey of Arabic fiction, the portrayal of women in society began. History has witnessed that women faced deprivation in the field of education and literature and the main reason for this is social backwardness, but as soon as women advanced in the field of education and literature, the darkness of ignorance started to disappear from the society. Enaam Kajaji occupies a unique position in the novel, her fiction portrays social and political issues as well as the dark side of Arab society related to women. Therefore, there is an urgent need to promote the dignity of women in the light of education and training, for which there are many other sources. الشواهد الشعرية في كتاب "سر صناعة الإعراب"(دراسة تحليلية لغوية) "An analytical and lexical study of the poetic evidences in the book "Sirro Sana'atil-eiraab The abundance of poetic citations in Arabic linguistic books indicates that the study of the Arabic language has, from the very beginning, been based on poetic evidence. Several traditions demonstrate that the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) referred to pre-Islamic poetry for the interpretation and explanation of Quranic words. The book "Tafseer Ghareeb ul Quran" by Abdullah bin Abbas serves as clear evidence of this, as he used the poetry of pre-Islamic poets to interpret and explain the Quranic verses. In later periods, this trend expanded, and the use of poetic evidence extended to all branches of Arabic linguistics, including morphology, grammar, semantics, and rhetoric. This thesis presents a research study on the poetic citations found in "Sirru Sana'atil-Prib", a renowned work by Ibn Jinni. Considered one of the most authentic sources of poetic evidence after "Al-Kitab" by Imam Sibawayh, this book contains over 700 verses as references. In this research, we have attempted to analyze Ibn Jinni's method of using poetic evidence, the linguistic issues he resolved through poetic citations, and the sources of these references. The dissertation consists of a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion: • The Preface introduces the book "Sirru Saila' atil-PrAb" , highlights the sources of Ibn Jinni's poetic references, and explains his methodology regarding the use of poetic evidence. • The first chapter covers morphological poetic evidence presented by Ibn Jinni • The second chapter discusses grammatical poetic evidence in detail. • The third chapter provides an in-depth analysis of semantic poetic evidence. • In the conclusion, the researcher presents the findings of the study.
السيرة الذاتية بين عائشة عبدالرحمن وبانو قدسية: دراسة مقارنة Autobiographies between Ayesha Abdul Rahman and Bano Qudsia, A Comparative study. This study presents a comparative analysis of the autobiographical works of two prominent female writers: “Ayesha Abdul Rahman (Bint al-Shati') in Arabic literature and “Bano Qudsia” in Urdu literature. The research explores their narrative techniques, thematic concerns, and stylistic approaches to understand how they articulate personal and societal struggles within their cultural and religious contexts. The primary texts examined include "On the Bridge Between Life and Death" by Ayesha Abdul Rahman and "Mard-e-Abrasham" and "Rah-e-Rawan" by Bano Qudsia. The objective of this research to highlight the challenges faced by women, particularly in conservative or patriarchal societies, and to inspire readers through their personal struggles and how they overcome them. The study adopts the methodology of qualitative literary analysis, focusing on comparative close reading, thematic exploration, and linguistic examination. Key findings reveal that both writers employ autobiography as a medium for self-reflection, resilience, and spiritual introspection, yet their stylistic approaches differ significantly. Ayesha Abdul Rahman’s work reflects a structured, analytical narrative rooted in Islamic scholarship, whereas Bano Qudsia’s writing incorporates Sufi mysticism and poetic fluidity. Despite these differences, both authors challenge traditional gender roles and highlight women’s intellectual contributions in Muslim societies. The study concludes that their autobiographies serve not only as personal memoirs but also as socio-cultural commentaries on faith, identity, and empowerment. Recommendations include further research on Islamic feminist narratives in autobiography and expanded comparative studies between Arab and South Asian literary traditions. This study contributes to existing scholarship by bridging gaps between Arabic and Urdu autobiographical literature and highlighting the voices of two influential Muslim women writers. “Key words:” Autobiography, Ayesha Abdul Rahman, Bano Qudsia,
