Abstract
The rise of social media has revolutionized the landscape of popular literature, profoundly impacting the way poets and prose writers reach and engage with their audiences. This study, titled "The Dynamics of Popular Literature: A Study of Selected Poets and Prose Writers in the Context of Popularity in Social Media," investigates the interplay between literary production and social media dynamics to understand how popular literary figures use social media to enhance their reach and influence. In this research, the Agenda-Setting Theory of mass communication serves as the theoretical framework. The research focuses on a selected group of poets and prose writers who have gained significant traction through social media. By employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines quantitative analysis of social media metrics—such as likes, shares, comments, and follower counts—with qualitative assessments of the content, style, and thematic elements of their works. In conclusion, the research underscores the transformative effects of social media on popular literature, revealing how digital platforms have redefined literary popularity and interaction. It provides insights into the strategies employed by poets and prose writers to navigate and succeed in the evolving landscape of social media, offering valuable implications for future studies on literature and digital media.
