Abstract
Governmental recommendations and reforms regarding any language serve as benchmarks for standardization and insist on the correct use of language according to established rules. This paper analyzes the orthographic issues found in the booklet compiled based on the recommendations presented in March 2022. Alongside this analysis, it provides a critical review of the government’s efforts to address these issues. This critical review will be beneficial for future planning related to orthographic reform and will also highlight new possibilities for research and critique in this area. The standardization of orthography is directly related to written language. These recommendations have been examined in light of selected theories to determine whether they can be presented as a model for individuals in society. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the topic and covers fundamental discussions, while the second chapter provides an analytical study of the 2022 recommendations and reforms, including issues related to numerals, diacritics, and other recommendations. The third chapter covers the significant opinions and discussions presented by experts in the field of orthography during the seminar proceedings documented in the selected booklet. The fourth chapter presents the findings and results derived from this entire analytical process.
