Abstract Abdul Halim Abdallah is a famous and well-known writer of Egypt. He was born in a village of Kafr-Bulin in Egypt in 1913. He graduated from Darul-Uloom Higher Secondary School in 1937 and was appointed as the editor of journal of Arabic Language Academy. His work is distinguished from other novelists with regard to social issues. He contributed 17 novels and short stories to the Arab library. He became one of the Symbols of the novel in modern Arabic literature. His literary work was mostly transformed into cinematics films because of richness of the events, characters and the surrounding environment. My present thesis consists of two famous novels of Abdul Halim Abdullah, Laqita and Ba’ad al-Groob, in these novels he has mentioned the problems and sufferings of women in the society. Laqita is the story of a girl who is victimized by society. Her mother wrapped her in a cloth and threw her in the forest after her birth. He wrote the novel in 1947 and got an award for it. Baad al- Garoob is also a story of society which revolves around a village boy and a girl who love each other but have to face disappointment and failure in society. My research is classified into three main chapters. The first one sheds light on the problems of laqita and summary. The second one highlights the problems and summary of Ameera. The third chapter comprises of technical study of two novels, followed by the result of research.
