Abstract History is a difficult and dry subject for a common man, but when it is introduced through a drama or a film, it becomes interesting for him. In this regard, a genre of literature known as 'Historical Fiction' has been popular all over the world. Under this genre, events, culture and social life of the past are presented in an interesting manner by taking real historical events, places and characters and adding fictional and imagined events, places and characters to the plot. From novels to films, plays, theater and video games, it is increasingly used and trended. Thus the anonymous characters of history are being introduced as the famous heroes of the present day. In this investigation, the drama serial "Ertugrul Ghazi" has been analytically studied in the context of the concepts of historicizing fiction and fictionalizing history. The character of "Ertuğrul" is presented as a hero in the play who is one of the founders of the Ottoman Empire. According to Ottoman traditions, Ertugrul was the son of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Apart from this, information about them is negligible. On the contrary, the popularity and acceptance of this play as a historical fiction today is that the Islamic world considers this character "Ertugrul" as their hero. People love Ertugrul and consider him as an unforgettable character of their proud history. This research consists of the historical and analytical study of the Urdu dubbing of the drama serial "Ertugrul Ghazi", while the analytical study of its main character Ertugrul in the context of the concepts of the hero is also part of the research.
