Abstract The topic of my research work is to analysis of social realism and the causes of moral decline in the fictional work of Muhammad Ilyas. The research primarily concerned with four-selected fictional work and to make an attempt to know the root cuase of moral decline. Muhammad Ilyas has been recognized as daring social realist in the contemporary scenario. So in this regard, research purpose was to show off his individuality. Research comprises into four major parts: First chapter deals with the introduction of the topic and the short introducation of the writer. Second chapter followed th causes of moral decline in two fictional work and also their analysis which had been written in the time frame of 1990. Chapter three discuss the issues of moral decline in the works written in twenty-first century. Finally, chapter four consist of findings and recommendations.
