Abstract
The topic of my MPhil thesis is AN ANALYTICAL AND COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE THEMES OF CONTEMPORARY POEMS “NOHA GAHR”, “TAMSEEL” AND “TARASH”. To talk about the topic these three long poems: “NOHA GAHR”, “TAMSEEL” AND “TARASH” are contemporary poems. These poems describe the human history. Poems tell of the barbarism and cruelty that man has adopted since ancient times. The purpose of my article is to determine the importance of long poems in modern poetry and the intellectual study of modern poems. The proposed research topic is to analyze the commonalities and differences between the contemporary poems by analyzing them. This thesis has been divided into five chapters whose detail is as under: First chapter titled “Tradition of a long poem in Urdu”. This chapter explains the introductory of poems, poets, basic discussion and tradition of long poem. Second chapter titled “Thematic analysis of three contemporary poems”. This chapter presents the thematic analysis of three long poems “NOHA GAHR” , “TAMSEEL” and “TARASH”. Third chapter titled “An overview of similarities of three contemporary long poems”. Here the introduction to this comparison has been presented and the similarities between three poems have also been thrown light upon. Fourth chapter titled “An overview of differences of three contemporary long poems”. This chapter portrays the difference between poems. Fifth chapter is about the overall view of the poems under discussion. At the end of the chapter, the results of the research and further recommendations have been explained.
