Abstract (The prison literature in the Abbasid and Andalusiaperiods)(Technical analytical study) We know that Arabic literature is one of the richest literatures of the world. It covers almost all aspects of literary dimensions. Literature of prisoncan be dened as literary works which reveal fears and hardship and impact of the prison on those who are aected with it psychologically and physically. This type of literature is signicant because it is being wrien behind the dark walls of the prison. The shared human experience of prison has resulted increaon of some great literary works. A prisoner during his stay in a prisonresorts to thinking, daydreaming, realizing his mistakes, idenfying his goodand bad habits and planning for his future, so he writes whatever he thinks.Everything he writes inside the prison becomes valuable for literature lovers. No doubt that a prison life is totally different from a free life and thedimensions of thinking also changes during this time and space. He faces acompletely different scenario. My goal is to identify some of those issues andmotives because of which poets and writers had to imprisoned. It include theworks of those as well who had to be imprisoned more than once. 12Keeping in view the signicance of this topic, I have decided to write about itand do research about on stylisc and objecve characteriscs of this type ofliterature.I have divided this thesis into Abstract, Preface, list of contents, five chapters,and Bibliography dissertation into five chapters:First Chapter: This chapter is a general introduction of prison houses and their development in the historical background of Arabs, Romans and people of subcontinent. The references from Quran and Sunnah were taken, it has three sub chapters.Second Chapter: Titled under The prison literature in Abbasid period. Thesufferings of the intellectuals who went through the imprisonment in different phases of their life were discussed. The impact of this imprisonment is dominants in their creative work. It has four sub chapters.Third Chapter: Titled as The prison literature in Andalusia era. It analysesthe sufferings of writers and poets, they wrote a number of poems as a resultof the gravity of imprisonment experience. It has four sub chapters.Fourth Chapter: It is an objective study of the prison literature in Abbasidand Andalusia era, discussing he charges against the imprisonment that basedon atheism and political grounds and some financial cases, it also has four subchapters.Fifth Chapter: The technical characteristics like imagery metaphors,epithets and similes are discussed. The issue of heritage inspiration and artisticintegrity were also discussed. Their specific themes were based on nature andabstract qualities of mankind, in Abbasid and Andalusia age.
