Abstract Post modern theory is a critical approach to study literature in the light of consequences of modern media and advanced technology. Advanced technology has drastically intervened into human life and tremendously changed his way of living, vision, values and beliefs. Modern media has also played a great role in accelerating the impact of technology on human life. Post modern theory is not an extension of modernism rather it rejects its various concepts and gives space to their alternatives. It also considers few new concepts which include floating truth, hyper reality, science fiction and virtual and unreal world as its basis. 21st century has its own implications which add consumerism, role of social media and internet, globalization and corporate culture to post modern theory. Then unexpected event of 9/11 occurs and it further adds phenomena of terrorism, international politics, war of treasure and Islamphobia to the features of post modern theory. 9/11 perspective specifically and post modern factors in general has greatly influenced Urdu literature. Baluchistan is the region of the world which has been brutally affected by the outcomes of post 9/11 scenario which also accelerated few specific issues including freedom movement, internal strife, religious conflicts and anti state emotions in the province. Urdu poems created in Baluchistan have all the characteristics to be analyzed in the light of post 9/11 and post modern factors but no such analysis has been carried out up till now. This thesis is a study of Baluchistan’s Urdu poem in 9/11 prospect under the implication of post modern theory. This study will be a beneficial contribution to the post modern criticism and will be a document of reference for future researchers of Baluchistan’s Urdu poem.
