Abstract
The purpose of this research work was to explore the concept of Allah's wrath with respect to Quran and Sunnah. Descriptive and thematic research approach was employed for collection, analysis, and demonstration of data. In addition to that the author also took views of experts of Islamic studies about motives, forms misconceptions about Allah’s wrath. The systematic review of literature disclosed that previous nations were misunderstood about the concept of Allah’s wrath and were destroyed through various forms of torment. Unfortunately, majority of Muslim Ummah was also found involved in same misconceptions which had seriously affected the religious, social, moral and economic life of Muslims and gave birth to number of problems into the society. The research was triggered by observing the results of these misapprehensions in the form of delict, disobedience, insubordination, non-compliance and social crimes. The author therefore intended to address the motives and causes of Allah’s wrath on ideological and practical grounds, its forms in this world and hereafter, lessons and admonitions for Muslim Ummah, common misconceptions and effects of these misapprehensions on religious, social, moral and economic life. After drawing the conclusions, the research recommended that religious scholars, preachers, orators and authors of Islamic literature should explain the correct concept of Allah’s wrath as well as expose the associated misconceptions in order to prevent Allah’s anger.
