Abstract The novel is the most prominent kind of Urdu literature. purely based on human beings, The relevant circumstances and events belonging to the man kind. Novel consists of many components, such as history, culture, civilization and patriotism.The main objective of this research is the study of patriotic element in urdu novel . This reserch consists of five chapters. A)First chapter reveals that what patriotism means.Components of patriotism. (II) what are the fundamentals of nation and the aspects of nationality. (III)The history of patriotism in urdu novel before the birth of pakistan. B)The Second chapter is included the study of Urd Novel from 1947 to 1970. (II)It presents the history of Pakistan when it came into being and shows all the political , social and literary scenes of the time. In this regard there are two main novels including ``Khak aur Khoon`` and,`` Ali pur ka Ailee could be quoted as refrence. where these elements are promenentely seen. (III) Raqs e Iblees, Aabla Pa, Khoon e muslim, Khuda ki Basti and Aangan offer visible indicators through wich the elements of creation of Pakistan can be studied. (C) The third chapter tells us about patriotism in last three decades of the 20th century. (II)There are various references of patriotism in Pakistani novels such as Jannat ki Talash, Raja Gidh and Jangloos. (III) Specific study of the element of the partiotism like Chalta Musafir, Preshar Cooker, Wadi e Lahoo Rang,Sadioon Ki Zanjeer and Nadar Log generaly supports to the main ideas of the novels and the characteristics are found driven by the spirit of patriotism. (E) The fourth chapter enlights the patriotism in first two decades of 21th Century.In chapter four of Its first part a clear picture of the state has been presented by the political , social and literary activities. II) whereas its 2nd part shows general analysis about patriotism through the novel ``Sipher sy Aik`` . III) The 3rd part in this chapter is a special reference of study of Pakistan through Urdu novels such as Hasil Ghat, Khas o Khashak Zamany and Aey Ghazal e Shab. The review and recommendations are also enclosed in this research document. As a whole this research document not only reveals the kinds of patriotism but also it shows the changes that occurs in the absence of patriotism due to same external changes such as division of common lands and formation of new countries. The famous Urdu novels included in this research are arranged on the basis of their time of publishing, so that revolutionary changes took place can be studied.
