Abstract The thesis contains the comparison of political and social intellect and understanding of Pakistani political auto-biographies. Auto-biographies is a well-known and well-regretted genre of Urdu literature. In the auto-biography a person down important events of his life. In reality, he documents his personal life in it. This thesis consists of the auto-biographies of two well-known politicians. One is Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed’s auto-biography “Farzand-e-Pakistan” the other is Abdul Majeed Malik’s autobiography “Hum Bhe Wahan Mujood Thay”. This thesis present a comparison of the Art and Style of the auto-biographies of both these political personalities. The subject of this thesis is documented and historical. During research of the thesis, the help from political and social history of Pakistan has been sought. As a result of this research, an understanding about the policies of Pakistani government and the ways and work of the politicians have developed and it has helped in understanding the national politics as well. This thesis consists of five chapters. First chapter deals with, what is and auto-biography, its basic structure and arguments and background study of political auto-biographies in Pakistan along with it.ix In the second chapter, the political caliber and understanding of both the politicians has been discussed and their comparison has been made in the political perspective. In the second chapter, the work has been done on the social intellect and understanding of both the politicians, Sheikh Ahmed and Abdul Majeed Malik. The Fourth chapter deals with the comparison of Art and Style of Writing of both the books. “Farzand-e-Pakistan and Hum Bhe Wahan Majood Thay”. In the Fifth chapter, an overall whole some comparison has been made and presented in this thesis.
